Melissa: I'm lovin' the cable knits this season, so naturally I purchased the classic; a cable knit sweater.  The only things missing from this outfit are some buddy holly glasses and a stack of dusty old books to complete this chic librarian look.  Definitely one of my more comfortable outfits, yet still looks put together and effortless.

Aubrey: What you can tell when you look at this post: that we are on the very pretty pathway by the Hudson River. What you can't tell: the wind was almost knocking us over and waging a fun little war against our hair. As far as my look, I don't have a whole lot of interesting story behind this one but I will say, it's that time of year again when we throw on as many layers as possible and still try to look good considering the cold that is on the way.

Wishing all of you a wonderful week!

Highline Sunshine

 On Melissa:
Aviators: American Eagle
Necklace: Urban Outfitters
Jacket: H&M
Dress: American Apparel
Belt: American Apparel
Heels: Zara

 On Aubrey:
Blouse: BCBG Max Azria
Black Denim: Guess
Trusty gold flats: Steve Madden

 Watch: Fossil
Friendship Bracelets: Homemade

On Saturday, in perfect weather finally, we took a stroll along the Highline. For those of you non-New Yorkers and maybe even some, the Highline is and old train track that has been converted into a gorgeous park and walkway.

Melissa: The jacket is a modern take on an Indian Nehru jacket popularized by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India.  Alexander McQueen's Fall 2008 collection came to mind, (particularly the look below) when styling this outfit.  I used pieces from my closet to achieve a similar, but more casual version of that look.

Aubrey: It's all about the blouse, baby. I feel in love with the silk burnout, Max Azria, top the moment I tried it on. It has everything, it's flattering, a beautiful burnout print, and cutout sleeves with two buttons each. I feel a bit like a Genie wearing it and I love every second of it. Here I decided to style it simply with my favorite pair of black jeans and my gold flats.

Hope you dears are all doing wonderfully and enjoyed our pictures!
