I've seriously missed the city since winter break began, so I decided to drag the fam into the big apple with me.  It was a chilly day with piles of dirty brown snow, and salt covering the ground so I layered up, strapped on my boots and was New York bound! We started our day by visiting the MOMA looking at various artists' work including Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, and my personal favorite Gustav Klimt. Then we hopped on a subway and traveled uptown to visit the American Museum of Natural History where I admired all the dino skeletons, leopards, and elephants in the joint.  Finally we ended our day with a family dinner at Cafe Con Leche, which has scrumptious passion fruit shakes, I highly suggest it.

Stay Warm Fashionistas!! :D

Baby It's Cold Outside

Coat- Kenneth Cole
Leather Gloves- Alexandera Bartlett
White Jeans- H&M
Camel Color Baby Heals- Bakers

Comfy Red Sweater- Gap
Cinderella Theme Necklace- Topshop

So this post contains a lot of recent favorites:
1.The Kenneth Cole black coat is a beauty that I found on Black Friday for an extremely low price, I couldn't have been more excited. Its very simple but flattering and elegant.
2. These shoes! You know how there are times when you go out shopping with a specific picture in your head? Most of the time you come home with something similar but its just not quite right. Well these are the shoes I dreamed of finding, to a T. I had been searching for weeks and there were plenty in similar styles but these were perfect for me.
3. Comfy red sweater- need I say more? All three of those words automatically make it a favorite.
4. This necklace- I am not normally the type to go for something so overly girly, but there is something inspiring about owning a piece that tells a story.

Hope all you lovelies are at the start of a great week!

Brown Leather Jacket- Express
Royal Blue Sweater- American Eagle Outfitters
Boot-cut jeans- American Eagle Outfitters
Boat shoes- Steve Madden

I have been begging my sister for a while now to let me feature her in my blog some, as you can see she is gorgeous! She has a more reserved style than me, but great style nonetheless. These were taken ages ago, I just rediscovered them now so I thought I would share.
The brooch I am wearing here is my Great Grandmothers brooch. I adore cameos and was naturally super excited when I received this. Unfortunately, I had difficulty deciding how to wear it, I didn't want to just throw it on a necklace, that just didn't seem special or creative enough for the this special little piece. I played around with a couple options and this turned out to be my favorite:)
Anyways darling readers, I hope 2011 is already turning out as wonderful as expected. (writing 2011 is still throwing me for a loop, I had to check the date to make sure I was writing the right thing haha) For the next couple of weeks the pictures with be with The Tailored Two separated unfortunately, for break we both went back home and home is not near each other. As soon as school starts again though, we will be reunited and there will be pictures of us once again!

Have a wonderful day loves:)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year our darling readers! We wish you lots of love, laughter, and fashion!!
Owing to the fact that we have only been doing this blog for a little over two months, we decided not to do a collage but rather to reuse the picture of us from our first, and still favorite photo shoot. There is so much to be thankful for this year! Here's just a few things:
1. For starters, we not only ended up being roommates, but best friends. Not everyone is as lucky as this.
2. The birth of our blog! Already, it has been such a help in defining personal style... Besides it's a blast.
3. Making it through finals and term garments alive!

Its a new year, you have a fresh slate. Make it what you want it to be! We thank all of you for your comments and love, it makes such a big difference. Happy New Years once again :)
